Welcome
Thank you for visiting my website, Lavender Psychology. My name is Dr Suzy Klein. I am a counselling psychologist registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
My therapy practice is underpinned by feminist values. I'm also a queer-affirmative and disability-aware therapist. My approach to therapy is flexible and collaborative. I always strive to create a supportive space where you can openly address your concerns without fear of judgment. Some of the most common concerns that I support people with are low mood, anxiety, trauma, relationship difficulties, coping with chronic illness, grief, self-esteem, and identity exploration.
I frequently work with people who have been affected by trauma, abuse, or neglect, as well as people who have faced marginalisation, discrimination, and oppression based on aspects of their identity (e.g. race, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, socioeconomic background, education, or faith/religion).
Services available
I offer a free introductory call to new clients.
Intro calls are an opportunity to ask any questions you may have about therapy, get an idea if working together would be a “good fit”, and to confirm if the therapy appointment times suit your needs.
Intro calls are available by phone or Google Meet, and they last about 15 minutes.
I offer individual therapy sessions in-person in Bearsden (Glasgow) and online.
In-person sessions are typically scheduled on Mondays and Tuesdays. Other days are available with advance notice for ad hoc scheduling.
Online sessions are available on weekdays at flexible times.
Sessions are normally 50 minutes and scheduled weekly or fortnightly.
